He's been operating under the radar so long - under the shadow of Daniel and Sufjan - but always an unswerving and devoted member of the Sounds Familyre community. He's finally arrived as an equal to all the above mentioned. Beautiful album. Strong on all levels. Pitchfork may find this the year of the spiritual experimentalists - Danielson Ships and the new Half Handed Cloud. And what will Sufjan bring us 2006? Again, the year of compassion, kindess, and beauty. Thanks John!

Good album I agree. His best for certain.
Half Handed Cloud makes me feel all warm inside...and loved.

Definitely the one-two punch for the Spring season. Half Handed Cloud and then the multitude of Danielson releases. God's presence will be felt - and knock you damn indie hipsters on your asses. The power of music in the dark age of the American empire - at the least to shine a little light in our lives.
(From Danielson to Godspeed - the message is hope.)

A) What does Pitchfork have to do with anything?
B) There are songs played on CCM radio ca. 1989 that are more listenable in 2006 than this crap.
C) If I were God, I'd be offended.
