"It's sad (so sad), so sad (so sad)
It's a sad sad situation
and it's getting more and more
sad"

"when routine bites hard
and ambitions are low
it's nice to go home
to a wife that you know,
and we're changing our shoes
take the dog for a walk
then love, love will make it all right
hurray"

I took Mac Culkin
In A Saturday Bang
Boy Is That Boy With You
Yes We're One And The Same

Now I Believe In Miracles
And A Miracle
Has Happened Tonight

But, If
You're Thinkin'
About My Color
You can't tell if I am
Black Or White

"I came along, I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called Deeez Nuuuts"

"Scrambled Eggs" - Yesterday by Paul McCartney/The Beatles
"Stupid" - Crazy by Willie Nelson/Patsy Cline
The original watertower lyrics about being sad in heaven that turned into "Can't Hardly Wait" by Paul Westerberg/The Replacements.

I'm not sure "Scrambled Eggs" counts as a draft -- the point with that line was that it was a syllabic placeholder.

"Oh yeah, I´ll tell you something
I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your mamms"

Other true(er) story re: Slade

They recorded their new single "My My we're all crazy now"

Chas Chandler "I like that one about Mama"
Nod: "?"

so they retitled it, without rerecording anything.

Apparently when Noel Gallagher wrote Don't Look Back in Anger, initially he just made up some nonsense words to go with the tune. He changed nothing.
