I liked the Cars song even more when I read that the guitar solo was an homage to Robert Fripp - it does sound a lot like a slightly less frenetic take on the solo from Eno's "St. Elmo's Fire". I like the way the entry of the drums forces me to do a double take, as does "Good Times Roll" - both songs set the beat up to be completely different from what it ends up being, to put it in a highly unmusicological way.
