Faunts - High Expectations/Low Results

Note to bands: If you pose with your hands drooped in front of you, dangling, doing nothing but circulating the air, you look like you're leaning and about to fall flat on your face:

But darnit, it happened again where the record blew me away in the late night, and then I woke up the next day, listened to it, and it just didn't sound as astounding.

Hank, yes, I'd say there's a similar vibe, but not necessarily a similar song. The first track is more 'shoegaze'-y than yacht rock. And the record seems more...textured/about production than instrumentally technical?
Except they did have one yacht-rockish song that made me think, 'eh, this is worse than Coldplay,' so that's a(n unfortunate) reference point, but after I let it go for a while, the song evened out a bit.
