seems like ever since Nickelback hit the top spot with 'this is how you remind me' that everyone's been hopping onto the grunge bandwagon to grab a chunk of their pioneering sound. Even that guy from Pixies has been 'doing a Chad'.

Which singer has the most imitated voice ever?

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:44 (nineteen years ago)

"Taking a dump on stage is cool."

In that he's one of a zillion people imitating a zillion people imitating Eddie Veddar whose voice is basically like if Van Morrison was trying really hard to sound like Peter Gabriel singing an octave below his range would ever allow, yes.

"do you want to see some parody threads, or do you want to go home?"

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:47 (nineteen years ago)

xpost sure, but where would Eddie Vedder be if he hadn't been so heavily influenced by Staind? he would be working in starbucks instead of chad!

Oft-imitated, seldom-duplicated singing styles:

- Stevie Wonder
- Elliott Smith
- Thom Yorke
- Kim Deal

can I add Scott Walker to that list?

Even that guy from Pixies has been 'doing a Chad'.

For some reason this is the funniest sentence I've ever read, and not because of the ironic subtext.

Mr. Ed singing "Believe" surely sums up the 20th century.

Nabisco ridiculously OTM!!! I've been telling my wife that for years. She rolls her eyes.

And Eddie and Richie and Tracy Chapman had a remarkably similar effect on me as a youth when I watched the Bob Dylan Tribute Concert. Remember the Bob Dylan Tribute Concert? Their voices all sounded... INTENSE.

So, yeah, I say Cher.
