Scottish duo playing hard, out electro. Record from this year (fear and lothian) seems very cool on early listens. it reminds me of old Autechre too, but not exactly sure why -- anyone know these guys? are they wee?

The album is solid, Touchin' Bass is an underrated label as far as current Detroit-esque electro goes (check out the Nobody's Perfect & Subsidence comps for more goodness.)

what is this neo-electro you speak of? electro house/npe? (not proper electro)....as some well versed aussies have coined it.

im a fan of wee djs. i cant help but say their name with a scottish accent though.

check the wee djs website (don't have it offhand but google is yr friend) - there are a few DJ mixes and livesets for download. i agree, dominique, the CD is very good - some of the more interesting retro/not-retro electro i've heard in a while.

I'm liking what I've heard, pretty dark with some interesting stuff going on. I can kind of see the Autechre comparison, although it's not as "broken" as even earlier Authechre, IMO.

(I have a couple of Wee DJ 12"s from 1998 or so that are excellent weird electro)
