New Jack Swing

ok, so i recently (today) decided i had to get into New Jack Swing after listening to Bell Biv Devoe's 1993 album Hootie Mack. the whole New Jack Swing deal was a bit before my time (didn't start listening to pop music till 1997) and i'm really keen to find some good artists. can anyone help me with this? I'm already stealing BBD's frst album, Rhythm Nation 1814 and Guy's eponymous debut.

I was interested to see that Teddy Riley has set up a nationwide New Jack Swing revival tour in the USA. does anyone else think that its a bit early for this? i could see it getting popular again (what doesn't) but i think popular rock music might still be busy borrowing from the good post-punk bands and hip hop is still attempting to make futuristic production as boring as possible.

i'm also looking to discover some decent early 90's pop (oxymoron?). this is extremely generic i know, but if Wilson Phillips' Hold On and Baby Baby by Amy Grant are anything to go by please reccomend away.

ok, sorry. i didn't really think about the importance of not cluttering up the boards with redundant threads. thanks for the links and i'll use the search function from here on in (registered last night to ask about NJS).

It's not just the clutter, it's to keep the info and discussion in one place where it's more useful.
