either cuz it doesn't meet my very high standards condition-wise, i never ever listen to it, or it blows.

so far:

Travelling On With The Weavers (snore.)

Carlos Montoya - Flamenco Fire (I keep thinking the title is Flamenco Pie when I look at it.)

The Lords Of The New Church - Killer Lords (Too scratchy.)

Carlos Montoya - Adventures In Flamenco! ( If it were Adventures In Pie! I would be with you, Carlos.)

Marianne Faithfull - Broken English (You can have her. She is all yours.)

Ry Cooder - Paradise and Lunch (Never played it. Owned it for years. You do the math.)

Joan Baez - One Day At A Time (No Bonnie Franklin No Credibility)

Henry Mancini - The Pink Panther (I can't remember why I'm selling this. Scratchy? whatever.)

Carlos Montoya - Flamenco Guitar (really staying up nites thinking of these titles, eh, Carlos?)

Ornette Coleman - Dancing In Your Head (I hate that riff! It drives me fuckin' up a wall! It haunts me. I want it out of my home!)

Ella Fitzgerald Sings Stuff (George & Ira, actually. Nobody makes me snooze like Ella!)

Sinatra '65 (Right before the acid breakdown.)

MJQ - Fontessa (You snooze, You lose! But condition mostly.)

Linda Ronstadt - Different Drum (I already have the Stone Poneys album. I dunno, this is some mishmash that capitol cooked up.)

Elvis Costello - Goodbye Cruel World (Goodbye.)

Monks of Western Priory - Listen (fuck a monk.)

The Essential Art Tatum (Condition.)

Eartha Kitt - Down To Eartha (Ditto.)

The Style Council - Soul Deep 12 inch (Never played it.)

The Best Of The Guess Who (Cover's beat.)

George Benson - Livin' Inside Your Love (Never played it.)

The Three Johns - The Death Of Everything (Two Johns too many! I don't think I've ever played it, actually.)

Malcolm Mclaren - Duck Rock (Kinda beat. Which is a shame.)

Legendary Pink Dots - Any Day Now (Never play it.)

Sammy Davis Jr - Just For Lovers (Never even considered playing it. Although I kept my copy of Golden Boy cuz I like the cool insert.)

Lets Active - Waters part/Blue Line promo (Have the album.)

The Connells - Scotty's Lament/If It Crumbles promo (Never played it.)

King Britt - When The Funk Hits The Fan (Sorry, King! I did hold on to his last night a dj...12 inch though. He was a good customer at my record store in philly.)

John Stewart - California Bloodlines (Never listen to it. Plus, I think I actually have another copy. I'll get rid of that one too.)

Crawler - Snake, Rattle, and Roll (I try to never get rid of anything snake-related, but it really is bad. Not one Kossoffian moment to be found.)

Lenny Dee - City Lights (Snorz.)

Galt Macdermot - Take This Bread (Hair dude writes boring mass. Not even Nell Carter can save it.)

Jimmy Dean - Bumming Around (Scratchy? I can't remember. Too sausagey?)

Don Dixon - Most Of The Girls Like To Dance... (Never played it.)

Styx - Cornerstone (Never play it.)

Nana Mouskouri - The Girl From Greece Sings (I heard Carlos Montoya came up with that album title.)

Laura Nyro - Smile (I should play this more, but...)

Charlie Byrd - Bossa Nova Pelos Passaros (Whatevs.)

Fanny - Charity Ball (Should like it. Never play it.)

Pierce Arrow - S/T (The poor man's Orleans.)

Brenda patterson - S/T (great band with Jim Dickinson, Ry Cooder, Wayne Perkin, oh, lots of folks. Great cover choices. Johnny Otis, The Bee Gees, Bill Withers, Paul Simon, oh, lots of folks. Forgettable.)

Lynn Gold - S/T (Wanted to be Joan Baez. I like to ignore them both.)

Dave Mason - Old Crest On A New Wave (Worst beardo goes new wave album EVER? Maybe.)

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. How do I end up with this stuff? what do you think? a quarter a piece? i should just give them away.

scott seward (scott seward), Thursday, 27 July 2006 23:36 (nineteen years ago)

that should say "stuff" i think. in the thread title. i don't even know if people buy albums on this island. someone might buy some, right? actually, when we had the radio fundraiser yard sale, there were people buying albums. i would love to lighten my load. i wanna get rid of at least 300 dogs or so. ten cents a piece? whatever doesn't sell will go to the dump/thrift store. luckily, i will still have about 6000 left. wouldn't want to go crazy, you know!

scott seward (scott seward), Thursday, 27 July 2006 23:40 (nineteen years ago)

Fanny - Charity Ball (Should like it. Never play it.)

Why "should" here, bro?

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Thursday, 27 July 2006 23:42 (nineteen years ago)

scott seward (scott seward), Thursday, 27 July 2006 23:46 (nineteen years ago)

heard a DJ play some 3 Johns the other day and been looking to score some ever since.

Dark Floyd (dark floyd), Friday, 28 July 2006 07:48 (nineteen years ago)

Legendary Pink Dots - Any Day Now (Never play it.)

Sadness. The Three Johns record is pretty good also, but you should search their singles compilation.

Also,

also...

How do I end up with this stuff?
Don't you get some of it from the dump?

"The First Edition: The Album-Openers Collection" (Reprise)

Rickey Wright (Rrrickey), Friday, 28 July 2006 21:23 (nineteen years ago)

Hee Hee! You're missing some pleasure here by not listening to a few select titles, but you got a lot more in that remaining 6,000, Ah suspect. I'd say put all this on eBay and/or Amazon, just a few at a time, so won't be too much to keep up with. But at least Fanny and the Halifax Three (playing teh Mamas Und Papas connection, wasn't Denny in H3?) Those would sell, for a pretty penny probly.
