In this case, the entire Silvania discography

Oh fucking hell, I just spent MONTHS on slsk trying to track down the last few albums of theirs...

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Sunday, 30 July 2006 16:43 (nineteen years ago)

who are they? [i guess i could always wikipedia etc but isn't this what ILM is for?]

poortheatre (poortheatre), Sunday, 30 July 2006 16:43 (nineteen years ago)

spanish experimental-electronic-music-by-way-of-shoegazer

or something like that, I'm not that familiar with their work, which is why I want to get the albums!

Have you tried iTunes?

Whiney G. Weingarten (whineyg), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:01 (nineteen years ago)

that sounds cool. i was just saying last night that i didn't know if spain had ever produced any music that interested me..

poortheatre (poortheatre), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:03 (nineteen years ago)

Classic, yes =-). Mighty helpful, I'm sure. Now the only thing one can complain about is sound quality.

ivan tasev (Ivan T), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:07 (nineteen years ago)

Now the only thing one can complain about is sound quality.

Yeah, that's my concern. It's like finding the holy grail, but only being allowed to look at it with your contacts out. Or some similarly terrible analogy.

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:10 (nineteen years ago)

also the nagging voice in the back of your mind telling you that if you buy everything twice over, then maybe, just maybe, they'll put out some reissues

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:11 (nineteen years ago)

And yes, Silvania is great. I have three of their discs so this is useful to know about the rest. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:32 (nineteen years ago)

ned, did you ever feel like you were staring into the abyss when you listened to them?

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:34 (nineteen years ago)

(I use the past tense because I assume that your capacity for hyperbole has dwindled with time)

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:34 (nineteen years ago)

Now you'd think that...

I've got a couple of AMG reviews up and around, I'm pretty sure. Doubtless hyperbole was used there.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:38 (nineteen years ago)

alls I see on the guide is a three-star rating for Paisaje III with no review, and cursory acknowledgment of the existence of a couple other albums

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:43 (nineteen years ago)

Boy, that's weird. I thought I had reviewed those albums! Getting senile in my old age. *coughs, leans on cane*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:49 (nineteen years ago)

i didn't know if spain had ever produced any music that interested me..

Get thee to the Esplendor Geometrico catalog! Hell, maybe it's on iTunes!

sleeve (sleeve), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:54 (nineteen years ago)

LeMans!

Rickey Wright (Rrrickey), Sunday, 30 July 2006 23:34 (nineteen years ago)

There's lots of Acid Mothers Temple up there, which isn't the easiest to locate here in England. Not that I've bought any (yet).
