'year of the dog - again' it's called. i bought it today, but have not yet listened to it.

he is a one-trick, or two-trick pony, but i enjoy his tricks a great deal. more so, i suspect, than a lot of people, who find the prospect of a 6th (i think) dmx album wearisome. am i correct in thinking this?

nonetheless, i refuse to let such people spoil my enjoyment. i would say 2 or 3 dmx albums are in my top 50 all-time favourites, 'and then there was x..' in my all-time top-10. i am hoping for more of the same on this record, and i feel i will not be disappointed...

has anyone heard this? has anyone else been anticipating it? is it any good?

The song with Busta Rhymes is pretty good! There's rock number on it that has its charms, though it should be afwful. And one really offensive sexist one, that really is.

I read an interesting review of Grand Champ in the Voice that suggested a latent homo-eroticism in his entire catalogue, not just the infamous "see me comin" bit in "Where the Hood At."

Despite his homoeroticism & sexism though, I'll admit I wanna hear this record.

Ha...that second "homoeroticism" should read "homophobia."

Freudian slip, maybe?
