It's not true, tho. Summer (The First Time) doesn't actually do this! And it has a pretty astounding sound to it.

I think you'll find it does, however, bar a meaningful additional whole tone descending piano motif.

The single before it, "Brand New Kind Of Love," is a lost classic.
