Dissertation on the concept of "cool" by Prince

A friend of mine mentioned this essay by Prince. Evidently he explains how he feels that "cool" is the cause of all that is bad in music and the world. Anyone else heard of this or read it? I've googled, but all I get is "Prince Cool".

Sounds like a good read.

Are these answers intended to be cool?

Any takers for a legitimate response?

I'd love to find a link for you, but prince cool, with two such generic terms, is fodder for getting millions of useless search results. I doubt this essay exists, but I tend to agree with part of the premise. I recommend reading The Rebel Sell until we can find a link.

Any takers for a legitimate response?

If the question's that hilarious, why bother with a serious reply?

Seconded. Fantastic book - for me, it crystalized a lot of my own ideas about how music, culture, and capitalism all intertwine.

I didn't actually intend to start a cascade of useless answers, I just thought the phrase "PRINCE COOL" was awesome.

My apologies Danny, et al... I'm getting over some mutant stomach bug so my sense of humour has been a little off for a few days.

Was it published on one of his sites? Sometimes he makes statements there. I'd like to see it.
