This is pretty exciting. 'Dos and Don'ts' off the last Boom Bip album is fantastic.

Hi Mike,
Hope you're well. We spoke again yesterday about getting some De Lorean carsdown to our record label 5th birthday party in central London on the evening of 10th October. It's a totally invite only party with lots of
music industry / press / radio people and artists on our label playing
including a guest appearance from a really famous Amerian rapper called 'Ghostface' and Danger Mouse (of Gnarls Barkley fame).
When we spoke, you mentioned concerns about parking etc etc.
We went to see the venue (really amazing / swanky club called '24' on
Kingly street). They've now confirmed that there will be secure parking
for 4 cars on the night right outside the venue. They will be on
display
but there will be club security literally right next to them to make
sure
that no-one touches!
The reason behind wanting to get some of these amazing cars to the
party is:
A) I love them and they look incredible.
cool.gif We're doing an album early next year with 2 well known artists: Boom
Bip (http://www.lexrecords.com/boom-bip) & Gruff Rhys, front man of
Super
Furry Animals (http://www.superfurryanimals.com). The name of this
project
is 'Delorean'. The music is essentialy pop/electro/disco, 80s style and
is
themed around the life of John Delorean- track titles like 'Dream
Cars',
'Raquel Welch' etc, all very positive / cool / revival stuff.
This will be a major international album next year on EMI.
I know this is fairly short notice, but we'd love to get some of your
DOC crew down for this - there will be plenty of press, and some celebs Wink
Look forward to hearing your thoughts about this.
Regards,
Will Skeaping
