The 'anticipating the new Kultur Shock album' thread

Balkangypsypunkfusionists Kultur Shock's new CD 'We Came to Take Your Jobs Away' comes out on Kool Arrow on October 10th. The last two albums are absolute classics as far as I'm concerned, and have been on constant rotation round my place over the last few years. Their tour mates Gogol Bordello (decent, but nowhere near as intense or innovative) have stolen a little of their thunder in the intervening years, but I am confident that the new album will set things right again.

I am virtually chewing the floorboards with impatience here. Am I alone in my excitement...?

(And no, I don't work for Kool Arrow.)

I'm pretty excited for this, yeah. Great band.

there a couple of tantalising snippets on the KA site. sounds good...

have you ever seen them live? the bastards have never been to the UK, sadly.

I quite enjoyed this record but some of the violins remind me of the Levellers. I appreciate this isn't really their fault

that's a shocking comparison! redeem yourself, sir!

apparently the violinist responsible for evoking the comparison is also in black heart procession. I went to see said band on the basis of that connection. it was disappointingly bland.

waitaminit...when you say 'this record' does that mean you've heard the new one?

Wow, I really like the violins on BHP rekkids. I would check to see if it is the same guy on this one (which I got a promo of last week) but I seem to have left it at work

haven't heard them on record, to be fair...but it's definitely the same guy.
