i heard a song on the radio, the first line was something like "love hangs on a string" or "love lies on a string" it also had an awesome guitar set before the first words. i was wondering if you knew what song it might be?

In view of the "awesome guitar set" could it possibly be Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional? That opens with "hope dangles on a string like slow-spinning redemption", which is quite close...

I know it's not popular to judge lyrics outside of the context of the song, but that is one of the worst lines I have ever heard in my life.
