And then there's "Saturday Night's All Right for Fighting," surely the most truthful thing Elton John ever recorded. Er...

How you could let a song where the chorus is "And the tap goes drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip" slip underneath your radar?
(Of course, I love that song, but I already know how you feel about THAT. I promise I'll stop sending you audio snippets of it if you take back what you said about my mother. :)

Does anybody know any godawful (or even quite good!) songs with Wednesday in the title? I just searched my itunes and it seems that's the only day of the week i can't account for.

I misread the title as "Godawful songs with all days of the week in them" and I thought, that's right, it does tend to get tiresome when the lyric is structured around naming every last day of the week and what happened that day. I'm ready for the next song long before the singer gets to the end of the week, even on something like "Friday On My Mind" when the workdays get run through in the first verse. It's like a precursor to the dullest blogs ever. Even on Sell Out, in the little squib song that just names the days and gives a little horn blast between each, the Who had enough sense to fade out as it went along. (What's that one called?)
A similar effect but worse is naming every month. "Calendar Girl" bleah.

Well, it's really obvious, but Manic Monday always pissed me off.

"Seven Days" by Craig David.
How about "January" by Pilot?

Oh, oh, Aquabats' Pizza Day, I think is the name of the song. That one gets pretty annoying.
