gibberish lyrics that somehow make sense when they're sung

This line is total fucking gobbledegook, but whenever I listen to the song it just feels natural, even logical:

"Share Bride Failing Star
Care-line
Care-line
Care-line
Care-line driving me
Shirly Shirly Shirly own"

Okay your turn.

that's my favourite Bowie passage, along with the chord changes and the sax. maybe the only Bowie song I really care for. well, along with Warszawa.

Damo Suzuki on Can's 'Future Days' album: just beautiful, sounding like a sampled Japanese folk vocal. but I really can't make anything he's singing there.

There's a similar but not identical thread to this somewhere, and here as well as there, The Fall are the kings of this effect.

Bernard Sumner owns this thread.

"Alifib," obv. I guess it would be stupid to mention the Cocteau Twins? But a lot of the "lyrics" really do sound right in the context of the music.
