i heard a track on the college station here, i thought it was MUM. i found it dreamy which is strange since i don't really like bdb.

it sucks, big time. the songs lack any of the vibe of "Hour of the Bewilderbeast". a major, major disappointment for me.

I loved Bewilderbeast - it was one of my favourites a couple of years ago, but this new record is just cloying. Sounds exactly like you expect a record made by a man with a new baby, a nice girlfriend, a bit of financial security and a deal to sountrack a film with Hugh Grant in it to sound like. Obviously it's all sweetness and light in Badly Drawn Land, but this is just irritating, overly-produced and sickly-sweet.

Also, that Elliot Smith producer has successfully managed to make Damon sound exactly like, erm, Elliot Smith on at least two tracks.
