Interesting choices, Hongro. I always thought that
"A Butcher's Tale" was one of the Zombies crowning
achievements, perhaps the emotional heart of the album.
I feel the same way about "After The Ordeal."

I can't find anything to like about Pink Floyd's
"San Tropez." What was Roger thinking?

The Beatles "Don't Pass Me By" immediately comes
to mind. Poor Ringo. Imagine the pressure you'd feel,
writing songs and trying to compete with John Lennon?

But then, those are among my 10 favourite albums of all time. Virtually everything on those albums is at least close to perfect. Those are not at all bad tracks, but also not quite up there with the best ("After The Ordeal" is obviously not even close to the greatness of "Firth Of Fifth" or "Dancing With The Moonlight Night" - both in my Top 10 best tracks of all time).

Funkadelic, "America Eats Its Young" (title cut) - Their third consecutive sonically-fucked, murky nigh-instrumental title cut, and to my ears, the weakest of the three.

Captain Beefheart, "Flash Gordon's Ape" (Lick My Decals Off, Baby) - This is actually a pretty great song, but it's hard to tell, given the idiotic production/mixing job (800 overdubbed skronking saxes rendering rest of band inaudible.

i would never ever even consider 'immature' for worst song, it's gorgeous. '5 years' has the amazing moment when the strings break through, 'alarm call' is bizarre pop fun. i do love 'all neon like' but slightly less than the others.

"Fitter Happier" works perfectly fine as the interlude it was meant to be. "Electioneering" is the only average track on "OK Computer", which for me makes it the weakest on the album.

"All Neon Like" has one of Björk's best melodies! It's so alien and interesting.

My least favorite on Homogenic would be "Alarm Call." Oh, and "It's Oh So Quiet" on Post. My least favorite on Laughing Stock would be "After the Flood," which I always skip.

An obvious trap--whatever you say, someone who loves the (presumably good-to-great) album will say you're crazy. I wrote a fanzine piece on this 25 years ago--technically on my favourite albums, but singling out the songs I'm less than enthusiastic about--that I have on a Word document, so I can link to a Google Doc.

It’s kind of a weird exercise... when I think of my “favorite albums ever,” they’re most all killer / no filler. Picking a “worst song” would be a matter of nitpicking over fractional not-quite-total-greatness.
