Memorable live albums

Like a greatest hits comp, the live record is somewhat inevitable with many rock bands if they're around long enough. I'm keen on hearing about some novel approaches to live recordings (preferably official releases, not bootlegs). Bands that did something a little different to shake up the tired cliche of a live album -- even if it's something as simple as an amusing album title other than "[Insert band's name]...Live!" (Camper Van Beethoven's "Greatest Hits Played Faster" is a favorite example!)

And of course, they don't have to be rock bands in concert.

The 1985 cassette-only release of the Replacement's "The Shit Hits the Fans" should get mentioned for the awesome title if nothing else. The playing is subpar but quite fun to hear the Mats tear up classic rock!

Best != most memorable.

A good concept is to only do new songs on your live album. Other than the Cramps' "Smell Of Female" I can't think of any others though.

Yessongs - 3 LPs! My first, and for a long while, only Yes album. Great cover art too, double gatefold.

Jeff Mangum's Live at Jitterey Joe's includes a video of the show, though it's so dark as to be almost unwatchable. Great idea, though.

What about neil young? Didn't he release 2 live albums of all new songs?

He also did a 3-disk live where one disk was all feedback. (Called arc/weld or something?) Never actually heard anything from that.
