Seeing as polls are the New Big Thing and Blur have one of the strongest b-side collections.. I would like to see what comes out as the winner! I think that every one of these can be found in that lovely Anniversary Box that came out in the early 00s..

I clicked and re-clicked many choices, ending up, I believe, on Long Legged. Rednecks kept tempting me..

I just picked Mellow Jam because A) I listened to it this morning and B) it was the first Blur b-side I'd listened to in at least a year and a half. Spooky coincidence.

French Song trumps Mellow Jam, sorry Stevie D

I am sort of a fan of Blur (at least 90s Blur) and still I know very little about their b-sides. Should investigate more, I know.

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:23 (nineteen years ago)

You MOST definitely should, Geir.

Mace is one of those songs I forget the brilliance of until I play or start singing it in my head. No one can see when they get mace in their eye!

Where is the Francoise Hardy duet version of To The End?

danzig, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 23:23 (nineteen years ago)

Yes:
1) Young and lovely
2) Mace
3) the daft cockney singalongs.

Finefinemusic, Thursday, 26 April 2007 16:38 (nineteen years ago)

Land ahoy!!!

St. Louis is an amazing track too. The whole of the Charmless Man EP is so depressing, but somehow that track kind of lifts it just slightly towards the end. I always liked Ludwig too - proper Smiley Smile style.
