"Creepy", not "pathetic"

humansuit, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 21:53 (nineteen years ago)

Pathetic can be kinda creepy.

yin yang twins and their whisper song

6335, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 21:57 (nineteen years ago)

LOL. You're right. As can "boardering on pedophilic." I guess if you combine 'pathetic' with 'boardering on pedophilic,' you pretty much have 'creepy.' X

Michael Jackson: "Someone In The Dark"

y'all know what part I'm talking about.

I had never heard this until two days ago. Was listening on headphones. I can tell you it flipped me out nearly as much as the Daffy Duck moment on The Drift.

Jon Lewis, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 22:01 (nineteen years ago)

some trembling blue stars song. i think it's on 'broken by whispers', and i think beth arzy provides them. love bobby, love arzy, but this song creeped me out the first time i heard it (late at night, in the dark, in headphones, but wide awake).

Daniel, Esq., Tuesday, 22 May 2007 22:22 (nineteen years ago)

I always found Pulp's "I Spy" to be creepy, or at the very least unsettling.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 22:24 (nineteen years ago)

OMG, the song I'm currently listening to on repeat, humming to myself during quiet purposes, and generally adoring, namely 'Kreibabe' by Foetus, finishes with Thirlwell whispering "Hush little baby.........don't you cry...", after an excoriating, noisy, 12-minute baring of the soul. It is quite, quite show-stopping (which is presumably why it finishes the album).

Just got offed, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 22:26 (nineteen years ago)

*quiet moments, I have no idea why I said 'purposes' there.

Just got offed, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 22:27 (nineteen years ago)

i always found that pulp song to just be badass.

andi, Tuesday, 22 May 2007 22:28 (nineteen years ago)

that "hey pretty girl did you go to college, did you catch a BA with all that knowledge, i like your boobies in your shirt, please let me show you my penis" song. hilarity!

Current 93's "All the Pretty Little Horses" but the fact that it hasn't been mentioned yet makes me think it was implied or something.

I added but then deleted some black metal selections as soon as I realized they may be construed not as creepy but as ridiculous. So I'll merely allude to them.
