other than that i have not been troo to this thread lately, except still listening to dishammer and dug out my dr. shrinker discography cd, which is pretty fucking nice. maybe not really evil, cause they're a little nerdy seeming. being named after a sid and marty krofft show and all.

Does that Impiety album have the annoying digital brick-wall compression the previous 2 album had? Really diminished the listening pleasure, esp compared to the older stuff like Skullfucking Armageddon.

These guys are in league of their own live. Really hope they'll manage come around these parts this year.

i would LOVE to see them live, and i hardly care about seeing anyone live.

as far as the new album goes, sadly, i've gotten so used to bad metal production that it barely registers with me anymore. all i know is that i put the album on yesterday while i was at work and it kinda singlehandedly made everything else new i've heard all year sound flabby and slow. i'm gonna listen again today at maximum volume and i'll take note of production/cd sound.

that's my problem with the brick wall stuff. i CAN'T play it at top volume because it just gets all distorted and sounds like hell. but not the good kind of hell.

Scott, I think you're really gonna like the debut CD by Warbeast. It's called Krush the Enemy, it's on Phil Anselmo's Housecore label and he produced it, too. It features the former vocalist for Rigor Mortis, who kinda sounds like a cross between Steven Rathbone of Lair of the Minotaur and Oderus Urungus, and the music is pure gutter thrash.

basically half-assedly liveblogging this as I bang my head but fuckin A I didn't know Heinous Killings was a full band now with live drums! wasn't hung with barbwire a one-man-band affair? anyway, as a full band, they are fucking savage. the song titles are as offensive as ever but there's no lyric sheet, which is a relief, since I think I may have thrown away hung with barbwire in a fit of skeevedness. but damn! the heinous killings tracks on this cap off 18 tracks of pure goregrind madness! fucking awesome split! grind grind grind grind grind
