Look at the crowd: Stoners, rockers, a few preps, no shortage of new wave haircuts, and as someone who had ears to the underground in suburban DC as a teenager, us area thrashers had a ton of respect for them. Maybe it was because we all had that local-band-done-good pride, but I think their appeal was more than that. A Kix show back in the day was a party and anyone was invited.
