i've always appreciated how "if my homie calls" and "i ain't mad at cha" are two takes on the same scenario from opposite perspectives

I love 2 of Amerika's Most Wanted -- Snoop's verse is hot, the interplay between the two is golden.

I still think "I Got My Mind Made Up" is my favorite, granted Pac barely appears but the beat is more droney than R&B, and I love Method Man's verse (excluding the inappropriate nazi metaphor that gets edited). Plus Redman's quip about nonbelievers getting his dick and genital backwards.

first disc is better than the second but even the second has "Hollah at Me", "Shorty Wanna be a thug", "check out time". one of the rare rap double albums I played nonstop when it came out.

people who complain about "r&b beats" on west coast rap thoroughly don't get it

I love the beats on the album for the most part, really aren't many duds

God do I love that Rappin' 4-Tay verse on Only God Can Judge Me.
that and the Method Man verse on I Got My Mind Made Up are my favorite guest spots on the album.

every big syke verse on this album is a classic imo

That snare is more of a splash than a snare, cool sound tho. I love the snare on Got My Mind Made Up, which for about 3 years was my favorite song off AEOM.

RANDOM FACT:

did you know that Inspectah Deck did the last verse on that song but it was cut cos they thought the song was too long, hence the "I N S the rebel" at the end before it fades out.

i always wish someone would write one of those books about the making of this record. about all of it, i don't understand what the process was, what the productions are made up of, etc.

sad that 4tay's career didn't launch more...just got "Don't Fight the Feelin" of his....underrated

"thug passion" is the most underrated joint

always return to this one and "I Got My Mind Made Up" always slays me the most. it has multiple verses that still repeat in my head all the time, particularly Pac's, Method Man's, and Kurupt's. just quality lyricism front to back, kinda a "fuck you, East Coast, we can do this too" type of feel to it....sandwiched in the middle of some trad West Coast jamz.
