Couldn't find a thread on this label. Besides the obvious Cluster/Roedelius and Rother stuff, any other treasures?

This is totally blissed out and wonderful, like if Ariel Pink made a new age record

Streetmark and Octopus are pretty boring prog sludge as I recall, but Streetmark's Wolfgang Riechmann did a pretty sweet Tangerine Dream-esque solo album on Sky. The name escapes me.

So anyway, on to you..

Asmus Tietchens did a few. Biotop and Spat Europa, maybe others. Spat Europa is one of those albums of mini electro-pop 'songs', where someone 'experimental' makes supposedly catchy tracks, but they don't sound quite right, y'know? I can't think of other examples right now. Felix Kubin, maybe? Uh.... I'm sure there's more. Anyway, they're drearily enchanting in a funny kind of way that only becomes clear after consecutive listens. Some almost sound like the absolute lowest-grade Italian genre-knock-off-movie synth soundtracks. The rest kinda carnival-y almost.

I think the Cluster and Cluster-related stuff is pretty much it as far as Sky goes. Lotsa hippy dippy new age stuff otherwise.

the top tier stuff is: the Cluster / Roedelius / Moebius albums, every last one of them. the first three Michael Rother albums w/ Conny & Jaki. the four electropop Asmus Tietchens albums. Günter Schickert - 'Überfallig' is the hidden one waiting to be discovered.

2nd tier, the early Tyndall albums are very cheery dippy & minimal german synth tunes, 'Sonnenlicht' a good example. Conrad Schnitzler's 'Con 3' has a couple of moments but I think he took his vocals one step too far towards normal. Vono's 'Dinner für 2' is silly D.A.F. divided by Tietchens, is okay.

Haven't heard any Adelbert Von Deyen or Harald Grosskopf. I never bought any of the Straight Shooter things or anything that looked even remotely rock, the covers scared me off.
