I'm interested in the number of possibly interesting Japanese releases that the Polish label Vivo Records has on its roster and I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with any of them and has thoughts on whether or not they're worth getting hold of...
In particular, amongst plenty of others, there's a couple of Merzbow albums, "Coma Berenices" and "Bloody Sea", Musica Transonic's "XYOSFBIGKOU", Ruinzhatova's "Liveinsomehwere", Acid Mothers Temple and the Cosmic Inferno's "Demons From Nipples" and a new Damo Suzuki album, "The Fire of Heaven at the End of Universe", recorded live at UFO Club Tokyo, 5th March 2006 featuring Damo Suzuki (voice), Hoppy Kamiyama (keyboards), Yuji Katsui (violin), Kenji Sato (bass) and Tatsuya Yoshida (drums), none of whom I know apart from Tatsuya Yoshida.
Any thoughts of these, or their other releases? What's worth trying to sneak past customs?
P.S., non-Japanese it may be, but the Pharaoh Overlord live album is definitely in my shopping basket.

i have one of those: ruinzahatova. kind of bored me, but i'm not a huge ruins fan or really familiar with omoide hatoba. it's been in the "probable ebay fodder" pile since i got it.
on the non-japanese side, i quite like the magic carpathians disc they did, very noisy and lots of guitar/synth action.

I can't remember what album(s), but I've heard some Ruins before and not really liked it, finding it too crazily frenetic for my tastes at the time. The glowing reviews on the Vivo page for the Ruinzhatova album made me reconsider it though, but I guess they're hardly likely to choose any of the bad or lukewarm ones.
