Sooo...I have to write a paper outlining the major sonic art idioms that have been prevalent over the last decade or so. Suggestions have included plunderphonics, glitch, microsound, soundscaping, etc. I know the question doesn't necessarily make a whole lot of sense, but what other subject areas might I want to inquire into?

I know it's not an exciting question but I really really need some help!

hmm i'm the wrong person to answer this as i don't really know what "sonic art" is (as opposed to just, say, music?), but perhaps you could go more into specifics?

in this case, let's say it's anything relating to the traditions of musique concrete, electronic art music, "acousmatic" music, etc. it's an extremely loose term, which makes all this even more frustrating.
