The best song in here is "Bohemian Rhapsody". It'd be a bit boring to vote the same song in two polls in a row though, so I went for "I'm Not In Love" instead.

It was a tossup between Laurel and Hardy, and The Tymes.

The Tymes it is.

God, it was bad!

you sexy thing.

No Who, no credibility.

So I'm going with "Jive Talkin'"

This is a great poll. Hard not to vote for "The Hustle" - kind of a watershed moment for dance crossing from the clubs into the more general consciousness, isn't it? Hot Chocolate is hard to beat too though - seems to best encapsulate for me what it was like to listen to A.M. radio, the vibe of being a kid discovering pop music. However the big question is where the fuck is Earth Wind & Fire's "Shining Star," which is a better song than any of these and appears on U.S. top tens for '75?

At any rate I end up going with Glen Campbell here because c'mon, Glen Campbell.

"Shining Star" is one of those rare cases of a US chart topper that didn't even crack the UK Top 75.

The Sweet - Fox On The Run

This was easy, since it's one of my all-timers.

10cc for the LOL CREME within.

Jasper Carrott's career really took off after this single.

I forgot Telly Savalas (the white Isaac Hayes?) was scoring hits back then. I'll go with 10cc. Don't even know probably half of the songs on this list, though.
