my favorite part is when he says something like "but then you got people doing the crank-- and no disrespect to anyone in particular". whoever could he be talking about?!?!
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 1 March 2008 04:21 (sixteen years ago) link
well there are 50 different kids w/ "crank that ______" songs. maybe he loves and respects Soulja Boy but just hates the copycats.

When he spends half the interview talking in constant vague terms about what's wrong with Atlanta these days and then goes "like my man Rocko say, umma do me," I just had to go stfu Killer Mike.
-- Alex in Baltimore, Saturday, March 1, 2008 4:13 AM
Yeah I didn't really get the whole section where he seems to be taking aim at Jeezy & Clipse specifically, as well as the coke-rap legions, then he follows up and talks about how TRUE Clipse are, how he respects Jeezy.
I thought it was good overall, and showed that he's pretty consistent and carefully-considered in his views on ish.

― BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 2 March 2008 04:17 (sixteen years ago) link
('i'll be the first to say that thing that nobody thought to say cause it's essentially meaningless')
srsly tho
Harry Reasoner: Are Black musicians genetically better than White musicians? Get me in trouble. Miles Davis: Not better. But they play different. White musicians seem to lag behind the beat. I don’t know why. Harry Reasoner: Because Black musicians hurt more? Miles Davis: What do you mean hurt more? Harry Reasoner: I mean is it… Miles Davis: It’s not that cliche. Harry Reasoner: It’s not that easy … to say that … Because you came out of slavery, you play on the beat. Miles Davis: No no no. That’s got nothing to do with it.
wtf is that shit
