A great year for albums, apparently not so great for singles. Voted "Life On Mars" though, and that one's a classic.

pass.....

Easy peasy. Voted the same way as Geir.

Can't remember whether I voted "Let Me In" or "Angel Fingers". Think it was the former.

Good lord, man--these lists are dreadful!

Ioannis, Monday, 14 January 2008 12:24 (eighteen years ago)

Bobby 'Boris' Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers Monster Mash

Particularly the cover version by Alice (rock star) and Amber.

Mark G, Monday, 14 January 2008 12:33 (eighteen years ago)

Buster, Buster, Blockbuster!

Dr.C, Monday, 14 January 2008 12:34 (eighteen years ago)

"Rock On" - still sounds like the future.

Dingbod Kesterson, Monday, 14 January 2008 13:22 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

Wow, what a miserable suckfest. "You're So Vain" towers mightily above the others, substantially better than the ok Bowie exercises.

Dr. Joseph A. Ofalt, Monday, 21 January 2008 04:26 (eighteen years ago)

"Ballroom Blitz" narrowly over "Life on Mars," the latter is a "better" song but the former basically kicked off my career as a pop music fanatic.

OK - I'm going against the grain here, but I could make a damn fine 20 track album out of this.

The Slade tracks are fantastic although I'd miss out Merry Xmas, all three Sweet tracks are shining examples of glam at its best and not only Life On Mars but Gene Jenie as well!

Then there is the vastly underated I Love You Love Me Love from Mr Glitter, plus I'm The Leader of The Gang. And See my Baby Jive - do you know how good that sounded in 73?

Outside of the Glam stuff there is possibly the Osmonds best lovesong, Let Me In, Cassidy doing Daydreamer and Limmie and The Family Cookin's fantastic You Can Do Magic.

And I'm voting for Cum On Feel The Noize cos of personal memories of going apeshit to it at Primary School discotheques (note - not discos).

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

Not a very surprising winner. Otherwise, spread as usual.
