Really surprised Geir isn't a U.S.E. or Wonderful fan.

Mackro Mackro, Sunday, 27 January 2008 21:36 (eighteen years ago)

Influenced by this thread: Best of London

I guess I should have included an "other" option though :)

Geir Hongro, Sunday, 27 January 2008 23:51 (eighteen years ago)

Also considered doing a "best of the American South" poll including R.E.M. and Matthew Sweet only. :)

Geir Hongro, Sunday, 27 January 2008 23:52 (eighteen years ago)

The Posies were kinda sorta grunge, also awesome, thanks Geir for giving me an option worth voting for.

I have completely forgotten about posting this poll. It was almost 2 years ago after all. No idea why I set the deadline so late.

Oh well, I guess nobody will be around to see the results of my "2112" poll :)

Tied Up In Geir (Geir Hongro), Wednesday, 30 December 2009 02:36 (sixteen years ago)

System, Thursday, 31 December 2009 00:01 (sixteen years ago)

seven years pass...

sorry, hijacking this thread: What are the best record stores in Seattle these days? I'm much more interested in new music on vinyl than, say, digging thru crates of old records to find a hidden gem I've been looking for for years. (though both are fun.)

is there any place that specializes in metal or weird shit, like Vacation and Mt. Analog, respectively, in L.A.?

thanks in advance!

alpine static, Sunday, 30 July 2017 20:23 (eight years ago)

For weird shit go to Wall of Sound. For metal go to Zion's Gate and Everyday Music. They're all within 2 blocks of each other.

Yelploaf, Monday, 31 July 2017 02:41 (eight years ago)

I love Wall of Sound.

yesca, Monday, 31 July 2017 03:37 (eight years ago)

It's so great. Can't think of any other places (RIP Electric Heavyland, and that one place in Ballard above the fancy audio gear store).

If you have any interest in under-the-radar indie pop/rock Jigsaw Records has a pretty remarkable selection, though I know next to nothing about 95% of the artists.

JoeStork, Monday, 31 July 2017 03:43 (eight years ago)

Thanks thanks thanks all around. (Hmm...under-the-radar indie pop/rock is definitely an interest of mine. Might have to try to get by Jigsaw.)
