anyway how many LPs is in a foot, maybe 200, 300? now that i think about it that's quite a bit more than 10kg (or 40lb for that matter)
if i had scales at home i could actually give you an accurate answer but i don't

in a foot i would say maybe 100 tops. my record box is relatively thin, rammed full its like 60 records. its probably a little over half a foot wide. that bitch is heavy, too.

yeah, it's right around 100 records per foot, depending on the the jackets

well, as long as it's under 70 pounds
i think a cubic foot of records is about 85 LPs and maybe 50 pounds.

two LPs is a bit over a pound if i remember correctly from my time selling records by the pound at FMU.

ian, that seems about right. most of my records are on middleweight vinyl, so i think it's between two or three per pound. i don't suppose it will matter once i get to the post office.

The weight of an LP varies depending on the artist, har har.
But seriously...Out of curiosity, I just now assembled my own rough cube, which required 89 albums - very close to Ian's figure of 85. So call it 87. And since he was right about the 85, I'll presume that he's also right about the 50lbs per cubic foot. (I don't own a scale.)
