Network error

James Redd and the Blecchs, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:29 (eighteen years ago)

Works fine for me; I did the mouse pledge again this year -- too much good swag!

Mike McGooney-gal, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:46 (eighteen years ago)

Box of Love sounds dirty.

tokyo rosemary, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 00:39 (eighteen years ago)

It got better.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 02:13 (eighteen years ago)

I should probably donate something, I pretty much discover music via them and here and you guys are a cheap date

filthy dylan, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 07:24 (eighteen years ago)

I wish I had my stimulus check NOW.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe one of the WFMU jocks can give you a stimulus check during pledge week.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 14:47 (eighteen years ago)

I don't even wanna know what yer going for, there.

Made my pre-emptive pledge. I will be taking a couple vac days to work the phone room.

Dr Morbius, Friday, 22 February 2008 15:47 (eighteen years ago)

chiquita, Monday, 25 February 2008 20:17 (eighteen years ago)

Fine Wine's premium is a t-shirt this year.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Monday, 25 February 2008 20:37 (eighteen years ago)

Driving up the Jersey Turnpike once to visit some folks I listened to Fine Wine and was so impressed I pledged and got a great cassette (that I have around somewhere)

curmudgeon, Monday, 25 February 2008 20:40 (eighteen years ago)

I adopted the Rock Hardy Studio B Board of Total Devastation.

Rock Hardy, Tuesday, 26 February 2008 04:17 (eighteen years ago)

Dave Emory's Compendium of Nazi & Fascist Connections to 9/11 for pledges of $75.

Hurting 2, Tuesday, 26 February 2008 04:30 (eighteen years ago)

I took a pledge call from an ILXor last night.

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 26 February 2008 14:38 (eighteen years ago)

How, uh, dapper.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 27 February 2008 14:48 (eighteen years ago)

Ha, I heard Laura Cantrell and Amanda talking about that, saying stuff like they hadn't known it was going to be a black tie affair, it's radio so you might not believe them but rest assured... etc.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Wednesday, 27 February 2008 15:01 (eighteen years ago)

I adopted the Charles Nelson Reilly and Brett Somers Memorial BLANK, uh, Goose.

tokyo rosemary, Wednesday, 27 February 2008 15:34 (eighteen years ago)

I gave today. Kenny G even fired up the echo box for my comment.

Three Word Username, Wednesday, 27 February 2008 19:56 (eighteen years ago)

The endless "pledging" is making for nigh-unlistenable radio these days.

Alex in SF, Thursday, 28 February 2008 01:10 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, but Andy Breckman got tased for the cause tonight, right? So that's something.

Rock Hardy, Thursday, 28 February 2008 02:48 (eighteen years ago)

Kenny G. bugs me.

kwhitehead, Thursday, 28 February 2008 02:51 (eighteen years ago)

Little internet radio crawl keeps saying names like Lindsay Buckingham and Roky Erickson but all I hear is talk talk.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Thursday, 28 February 2008 03:02 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, but Andy Breckman got tased for the cause tonight, right? So that's something.

He bought an indulgence for $1000 and Ken got tased instead. Weak!

(Although that had to have pushed his soaking bill into five figures, which is a pretty good consolation.)

govern yourself accordingly, Thursday, 28 February 2008 04:18 (eighteen years ago)

goddammit, I always miss the sadistic installment of 7SD!

Dr Morbius, Thursday, 28 February 2008 14:06 (eighteen years ago)

evidently kenny g caused complete havoc in the studios yesterday...terrifying teens in main studio with his big rubber schlong...theres video...but it will probably not see public airing.

7sd set new records last night despite the fact that i had to hang up on several people calling just to yell nonsense (do these people think they will actually get on the air? ). the soaking period was madness every phone in use. (best show also did insane numbers on tues, im told...all of this is awesome, i hope it leads to smashing the million dollar goal and allows wfmu to become even bigger and stronger)

following the tasing, andy quickly realized he'd spent that grand badly (foolish, as he had watched ken tase himself twice (by mistake)prior to going on air)..but probably made for good radio.

ullgh, i pledged more than i can afford yesterday morning, but hey...doing it for the kids

right?

bb, Thursday, 28 February 2008 15:04 (eighteen years ago)

i pledged this morning and won a rhino soft pop box set

n/a, Thursday, 28 February 2008 19:29 (eighteen years ago)

I was on phone #1 the other night and took a few crank calls

Dr Morbius, Thursday, 28 February 2008 20:14 (eighteen years ago)

So have you met Clay Pigeon and is he as weird as he seems in his show?

Rock Hardy, Saturday, 1 March 2008 05:42 (eighteen years ago)

I pledged on Mr. Fine Wine's show and then upped it on Michael Shelley's show. Neither phone person sounded like Morbius. If you have a message for the DJ, aim for the soundbite- my precise message to Fine Wine got through word for word, but my rambling, unimportant message for Michael Shelley was completely ignored by Ira Kaplan, saying "James from Queens says he loves Michael Shelley- at least that's what I think it says here- either that or that phone person had a heart attack in the middle of writing it."

James Redd and the Blecchs, Saturday, 1 March 2008 17:33 (eighteen years ago)

I don't do Sat mornings.

Pseu descibed me as an eartquake-support column last night.

Dr Morbius, Saturday, 1 March 2008 17:48 (eighteen years ago)

Soundbites are easier to transcribe.

Clay Pigeon doesn't seem any weirder than any other DJ I've met.

tokyo rosemary, Saturday, 1 March 2008 20:17 (eighteen years ago)

have they passed $500 G?

Dr Morbius, Monday, 3 March 2008 14:40 (eighteen years ago)

I think they did, yes. Right now Evan 'Funk' Davies keeps playing tracks off this Mary Weiss CD.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Tuesday, 4 March 2008 04:40 (eighteen years ago)

James Redd and the Blecchs, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 03:10 (eighteen years ago)

big dipper reunion?

edb, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 03:25 (eighteen years ago)

oh, craps!

edb, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 03:26 (eighteen years ago)

wow, i was just really enthralled by kens attempt to break 20 K...

bb, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 17:11 (eighteen years ago)

it was close

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:12 (eighteen years ago)

Right now... Ken and Andy get waterboarded for pledges on Seven Second Delay.

Hatch, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 23:06 (eighteen years ago)

over $750 G raised... DON'T STOP!

Dr Morbius, Thursday, 6 March 2008 23:09 (eighteen years ago)

Funny interchange between Fine Wine and Michael Shelley just now:

MS: Right now we're going to give away, uhhhhh.....
FW: You're supposed to make these decisions off-mic, Michael!
MS: (Off-axis) I quit! And you're not supposed to criticize my..

James Redd and the Blecchs, Saturday, 8 March 2008 17:14 (eighteen years ago)

More funny stuff involving CD changer troubles and the word "routinely."

James Redd and the Blecchs, Saturday, 8 March 2008 17:19 (eighteen years ago)

Were you the pledger who made the comment about going to the Salvation Army?

tokyo rosemary, Sunday, 9 March 2008 02:52 (eighteen years ago)

Um, maybe. Were you at the station at the time, Z? Or the Salvation Army later?

James Redd and the Blecchs, Sunday, 9 March 2008 04:28 (eighteen years ago)

Oh, I'll bet you talked to Matt.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Sunday, 9 March 2008 12:49 (eighteen years ago)

I AM IN BASEMENT OF MAXWELLS

PLEDGE!!!!

Dr Morbius, Monday, 10 March 2008 01:33 (eighteen years ago)

scott williams doing portishead was pretty intense.

Creeztophair, Monday, 10 March 2008 03:19 (eighteen years ago)

wait...my winamp dongle said it was portishead. guess it wasn't.
i was like "woah, this is a pretty rockin' portishead song"

Creeztophair, Monday, 10 March 2008 03:21 (eighteen years ago)

twas slowed-up Cougar?

well, everyone should add 2 cents per dollar to their pledge to make the $1 M goal.

Dr Morbius, Monday, 10 March 2008 13:12 (eighteen years ago)

Well?

James Redd and the Blecchs, Monday, 10 March 2008 21:41 (eighteen years ago)

Is that all there is? Is that all there is to a marathon? Oh well, I guess I'm gonna go back to normal and listen to the jazz stations.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 03:42 (eighteen years ago)

Uh, what were you expecting?

Rock Hardy, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 03:56 (eighteen years ago)

Nothing. I just wanted to quote Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller and Peggy Lee and Tracer Hand.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 04:00 (eighteen years ago)

Sorry, in Fine Wine-related circumstances he should be known as Tracer Hamd.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 04:01 (eighteen years ago)

On Sunday I nearly tripped a fasmous FMU comedy star while I was crawling under a table, retrieving my belongings.

Had to leave Maxwells before Terre T's Misfits cover, alas.

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 13:45 (eighteen years ago)

James, I just recognized your name and what shows you mentioned pledging to on this thread.

I saw the trip in action!

James Redd and the Blecchs, Saturday, 15 March 2008 14:04 (eighteen years ago)

I am probably in pictures of Charlie Lewis' performance.

I still have to upload all my photos.
