You guys know the record "EAST WINDS" by Addison? Totally positive-vibes country stuff. Lots of banjo & mandolin, a few really good songs-- "Savings & Loan"!!! Recording quality is good overall.

moving on now to Mark Brine "American Pieces"? Cheap keyboard organ setting notwithstanding, this is kind fo endearing. "It's looooove, in the purest form, as touchin' as when their babes'll be booooorrn."

I found a copy of Bill Cooley & Alan Munson "In Debt." Released On Studio West? I'm not sure if it's private press or not, but I'm enjoying it. Nice folk with slight country/psych vibes. Also found Emily Bindiger's only lp "Emily" which I'm slightly disappointed in. It's not bad, there are a few lovely jesus loving folk songs on it. But it's not as amazing as I had hope for, but I bought for a dollar!

That Cooley/Munson is a pretty desirable record! I've got the reissue, really enjoy it.

Have you heard the two solo Munson records? Those were the ones I've been looking for when I saw the Cooley & Munson record by chance.

Finally got Pat Gatti's Someone... Somewhere!! It's a really nice lounge folk record with tape effects and one vocal side and instrumental side. Yoga records reissued it, but you can sometimes find the original on ebay for under 20 and it's worth it.
Also of not is Patrick John Brayer's Cold Feelings, low down bluesy folk. Really inventive and completely lonely and devastating!

After listening to John Villemonte's second version of 'I Am The Moonight' on This, I'm convinced it's far better than the first version on 'People like us'. More dreamy and less lonely, longer flute passages too!

Actually all of 'This' is less lonely and somber than 'People Like You' lots of morning sunshine, the open air of pastures, it's music that makes me smile.

i want to hear that record sometime.

the new reissue of this (spirit of the golden juice) arrived from the plant today, expect it in stores/distros soon. if anyone here wants a copy, let me know and i will put you in touch with the label guy -- i dunno what kind of distribtion he has planned. i know fusetron will have copies.

it leans more straight downer / loner country than the s/t link wray LP on polydor but still occasionally descends into degenerate hillbilly funk with lots of wild scraping guitars etc. link on guitar and doug on drums throughout.

Vernon puts his back into several hot tracks on Link's awes 2019 comp in the Bear Family Rocks series (yep it's BF, but not a big-price monster box). talked about it quite a bit on rockabilly essential thread. Haven't yet checked into him as true front man, although think he may have been credited that way on some mainly-Link releases. Yall might also like Rob Galbraith.

he went by ray vernon for most of the "missing links"-era stuff when he was leader. "wasted" LP his proper debut i think.
