The Prodigy - "Baby's Got A Temper"

After reading all of the negative talk and feeling deep FEAR, I downloaded a live version of this song. Maybe it was my downgraded expectations; maybe the murky quality of the recording hid flaws or enhanced the wafer-thin construction of the song, but I LOVED IT. I can't wait for the album to come out!

Why are people hating on this so much? Is it Too Much Keith Syndrome?

Dan, I may be repeating meself (as I had responded to a remark you made about it in Tom's "Worst Of" thread), but sod that: I love it, too!

I admit that the first few times I listened to it, I thought it was a bit derivative. Now, I don't care.

Where did you download the live version, though? Are there other new songs out?

I haven't noticed any other new songs. I found it on WinMX a couple of weeks ago. I just think it's lurvely.

Keith and the lads lurvely? Want to bet they would try to stomp you, for daring to use such a pansy description?;>

Was sent the original version via PlayLouder, and pricked up my ears instantly.....

It's good, it's so much like the Prodigy and it's nothing new and the way the chorus kind of grinds in below the verse is so totally them but then Keef goes "just forget it alllllllllllllllll" and I remember how much I love the Prodigy.

one month passes...
Absolute Gash.

five years pass...

Who cares if Appetite For Destruction is twenty years old - "Baby's Got A Temper" is FIVE years old and I find that far more disturbing. A generation was once moved by the resounding chant, "WE LOVE ROHYPNOOOOOL; WE GOT ROHYPNOOOL" - where is that spirit today??

But wasn't "Baby's Got a Temper" largely ignored?

Well, that was only because the line "Just forget it all!" struck such a chord.
