Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Thursday, 20 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

OK, you asked for it...

As soon as I get back home, I'll upload my Eric B & Rakim/Spiller boot. Tentatively titled "I Know Groove Got Soul". Any better suggestions?

What software do you make boots with? tell me tell me tell me.

I made one of Leroy Hutson (70's funk) and Mobb Deep. I used Acid Pro.

Michael Bourke, Thursday, 20 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I used to use Goldwave, but I've finally upgraded to the crappy version of Sonic Foundry Acid.

jess, Thursday, 20 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm gonna make some boots on my four-track. Lo-fi indie boots. I have cool edit pro on my computer, but I don't know how to use it.

Ha! Under the name of Captain Smug I've made an Electric Eels vs. Tricky track called "Gigantic Pumpkin." It's shoegaze. I also tried a Tricky vs. Britney thing at Dan Perry's suggestion but I never finished it.

Kosheen Vs Royal House...

Mirage II, Thursday, 20 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess, i tried to do a booty of Bandana vs Books On Tape but after 30 minutes i got frustated and just mixed both wiv Cool Edit without the minor tempo adjustement it needed. Chaki says its good but i think its friggin unlistenanble.

If you are talking old-skool bootlegs. Me and 2 friends did a beautiful club mix of Britneys's Im Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman and by miself a remix of a brasilian pop hit covered in acoustic by Boo

I only posted them on Filepile and all are expired but here are the links but i can send through AIM or ICQ if anybody wants em

Chupa-Cabras, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, my first bootleg isn't really a proper bootleg with properly beatmatched lyrics and such. But it's here and I'm finding it preposterously enjoyable to listen to :-)

I have a great idea for my next one. Which is really gonna make an argument as an answer to a recent ILM post ... but my free copy of CoolEdit just expired :-( Any suggestions for a good, free sample editor. (I put the pieces back together in ACID)

I also tried a Tricky vs. Britney thing at Dan Perry's suggestion but I never finished it.
