RFI: Eulipions

A visual artist I'm writing about has a piece called "Throne for the Eulipions," which he says is named after/inspired by a Rahsaan Roland Kirk piece called "Theme for the Eulipions," or something along those lines. Anyone know what album it was on originally, and/or, even more important, what the hell is an Eupilion? Web searches have turned up little or nothing useful on the word and its origins. A little help, please?

lee i tried to look it up and even pulled out all my rrk albs but no dice so far

yr sure it's not spelt "oulipians"? (i mean, i kinda doubt it, but if it was rrk is EVEN WAY COOLER than he already was)

prolly i told this before on ilm, but years ago i remember reading that his manager came into the hotel room and rrk was throwing icecubes out the window and trying to play the sound they made when they landed

It's on that Warner Bros. comp of his '70s work, and it's spelled with an "E" everywhere I've seen it listed.

I'm interviewing the artist in question tomorrow, so I guess I'll just have to plead ignorance and ask him what it means. Still, if he's taking cues from Kirk, he's probably used to being a bit ahead of the game on folks.
