So IBM is researching personal interests, associations, and impulses in the music of Philip Glass. Quite a weird little project, and as a long-time Glass fan and an IBM shareholder, I really have no idea what IBM is doing with this. Quantifying Joy and Sorrow. How robotic and ridiculous, but still interesting. The one thing Glass keeps proving is that he's a master at getting corporations to fund project after project. I wonder how much Kurt Munkacsi earned "subjective values (such as JOY) to the tracks"...

Take a listen to "Osamu's Theme: Kyoko's House" from Mishima. I think Tom Jenkinson owes Philip Glass some royalties... He can queue behind Craig Armstrong, judging by most of Mishima.
