I'm disappointed. I was getting ready to talk about Mohammad Reza Shajarian.

Iran: a noise pop band from San Francisco, the melodies heavily buried under noise sqwall and only burbling to the surface on occasion. They have one album so far on tUMULt. I quite like them, butadmittedly the collision of noise and pop is pretty much "comfort" music for me. Members of Iran are also in a band called the Church Keys. And when I say "noise" I mean "noise" like graffitti haphazardly sprayed over the songs.

Revisit:

So has anyone heard the new Iran record? I still listen to the first regularly (right now, in fact), and I still haven't found the latest one. Very curious though.

I thought this was going to be about Flock Of Seagulls.

Record turnout in an election that was meant to be a cake-walk for Ahmadi-Nejad. Of course Mousavi, is only a moderate, a former insider, and any president only ahs as much power as the Supreme-leader and council give him, but it could mean a different tack from Iran.

I probably would have liked this twelve years ago.

Ho, wait a minute, emusic called them a "noise pop" band, major turn-off. Now I learned they have actual songs.
