But, my main contention here is that ILM aids in creating drones, automatons of us all. This crap is used to soundtrack the waking moments of most of the unfortunates that exist in this complete insult of a society, and therby encourage them to remain in their slumber. I'm thinking here of the theories of Qoolout. I recently read Jim Davidson's excellent "Autobiography", a sort of exposition of the ideas of the great greco-armenian thinker and it lead me to think on how I could use these ideas to examine and analyse ILM, my first love. ILM with its inane, extremely stupid lyrics, pandering to our basest instincts (i.e., sex, driving cars, football, big broter, tedd nugent etc), its simple, mundane threads, its dulll lifeless possts, seem to superficially satisfy and keep us groggy and drugged in our stupor. Compare this with Wigan Casino or Stoke Mandeville. There to satisfy the need of hunger, but at the same time everything about it seems to cry out superficiality and ultimately a state of waking death. Most people live out their lives in the totalitarian institutions otherwise known as record shops where this state of sleep is encouraged as productive and our brains waste away in our skulls. No wonder reading ILM is encouraged in factories, where the wage-slaves piss away their lives doing stupid repetitive tasks. It seems like ILM is there to allow us to indulge our need for music but at the same time stopping us from really truely experiencing it, being truely tautological aboutt it, without creating a barrier of death thought otherwise known as culture. Disposability is the order of the day. We become bored of this ILM and look towards our next "thread", because we don't really listen to it, and at the end of the day, the sun goes down, there is really nothing there to read, as becomes obvious when you examine the intentions of those that create it. It discourages us to use the right parts of our brains, to see the bigger picture, to build models and examine trends and the structures of our society, to feel compassion for others.
But oh how different it could be! Forums like Freedom! self reliance or Anarchy, this forums encourages us to savour, to be aware of every moment, every nuance. To fully actively participate. Thus experimental forums helps us to feel more alive, withtout the need to take psychoactive substances. This avantgarde fora, it encourages listening, actively. But still, people treat it like somekind of fashion item, instead of the break with automated existence that it really is. Think of it, how many ILE contrributers are really aware, aware of others. Most postrs seem to drug themselves stupid and thus lose this gift of awareness that comes through creating threads, most aren't even creative and just follow the paths dug by others. This is because they too are stuck in this stupid LUSENET of ours.

It's true though: reading and posting to ILM gives me a break from working, making it more tolerable, but ultimately discouraging me from radically subverting the system.

I can only tell the truth as I seep it, you know. And I'm deciding in which direction I should throw the towel, as opposed to throwing it in.

http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpgLM is inherently warped, disruptive, and snotty. Goddamn! Oh, and it also has a sadistic mode of existence. Put simply, http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpgLM has been deluding people in 2 believing that quislingism is the only alternative 2 faddism. Don't let it delude U, 2. Ow! There's a little-known truth that isn't readily acknowledged by belligerent, spiteful boors: http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpg sometimes ask myself whether the struggle 2 express my views is worth all of the potential consequences. And http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpg consistently answer by saying that if U have read this far, then U probably either agree with me or are on the way 2 agreeing with me. HOUSEQUAKE! This is not Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia, where the state would be eager 2 deliver an additional blow 2 dignity and self-worth. Not yet, at least. But http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpgLM has spent untold hours trying 2 institutionalize terrorism through systematic violence, distorted religion, and dubious science. HEAD! During that time, did it ever once occur 2 it that its remonstrations appeal 2 people who are fearful about the world's political and economic situation and long 4 simple solutions 2 complex problems? Let me give U a hint: We should agree on definitions B 4 saying anything further about its treasonous press releases. For starters, let's say that "pharisaism" is "that which makes http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpgLM yearn 2 reduce social and cultural awareness 2 a dictated set of guidelines 2 follow." The only way out of http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/eye.jpgLM's rat maze is 2 fight 4 what is right. It's that simple.
Gett Off.
