Kodo

I've seen a couple of taiko bands. There was one band called Wadaiko Yamoto who played a percussion festival in Brazil and did some workshops. They were fantastic. My partner, who's Japanese, is terribly cynical about this kind of stuff. But there's no denying that it is really exciting. Their drums are beautiful for a start. Kodo themselves have a bit of a reputation for just going through the motions, but what the hell. It'll be very spectacular.
