Alphabetical bands part the nth: Last letters!

The "favourite band starting with each letter of the alphabet" thing is just way too easy ;-), so let's try it with alphabetical last letters.

*Thinks*

Um, okay, I'm having problems with the "favourite" part (how do you tie-break S?), but here are some bands by whom I've at least liked something, at least quite a bit. Only proper band names have been considered, though.

abba
stereolab
piano magic
the colourfield
kenickie
renaldo and the loaf
palais schaumburg
lush
gorky's zygotic mynci
the quartet of raj*
kraftwerk
the fall
múm
ladytron
yello
stump
\mu-ziq
black box recorder
madness
deutsch-amerikanische freundschaft
justified ancients of mu mu
mercury rev
so solid crew
colourbox
the band of holy joy
yaz**

* Yeah, OK, they were really called The Raj Quartet, but I couldn't think of any others. J isn't really a proper separate letter anyway, so ner.
** Using US name only this once.

I refuse to do this because I'm not picking between The Cure and Prince.
