Greatest Five Year Runs, Part I

Inspired by this The Best Five Album Runs Ever and this "The Best Five Album Runs BEFORE TIME BEGAN" (Jazz poll voting thread VOTE HERE), I thought a slightly different approach would be interesting in that it’s easier to include artists who’s main work appeared on 78s and 45s from the 20s through 50s. I thought of making it really inclusive, but realized I already had a list of over 170 options (some artists have more than one run). So yeah, I know I’m missing a ton of blues and jazz artists. Sorry. Hopefully I managed to include most of the big contenders.

This is one of those lists where least favorite is probably easier.

voting Thelonious, although i'm not sure about the 1950-'54 part to be honest. if there were a Stones '64-68 i might take that over the velvets. hey, i think i agree with Geir for the first time (!)

^at the absurdity of picking one. This should be a pick only 5 or 10.

This would be better served to be done like the Jazz poll, but if only 20 people are voting in these things, I don't want to bother. Would be nice if the auto poll thingys could be upgraded to give option of ranking 5 or more.
