ON SECOND THOUGHT after re-reading author's personal appeal for your reaction to these records (well the Monsters' one specifically), maybe starting a public thread right now is the wrong idea.

Lifter Puller's Fiestas & Fiascos is an experience most fantastic. This is all I know for certain in life.

Mr. Darnielle's assessment of Lifter Puller is right on -- a highly underrated band that deserved better (whatever that means -- wink). Certainly, Craig Finn has created some of the most compelling down trodden character driven songs in recent memory with the perfect accompaniment to boot. Supposedly in september the Self Starter Foundation is going to reissue Lifter Puller's first 2 out of print LPs and ep, something to look forward.

I have not been able to find this on LPTJ. What's he on about?
