Piana. Clued into her via the Random Summer Múm list. First two albums are more glitchy and serene, like the best of Múm, while the third is more focused and song-oriented.
L'arc~en~Ciel. _Awake_ has a ton of good tunes: "New World", "Ophelia", "As One", etc. The vocalist reminds me of Geoff Tate, while the music's '80s pop-rock in a GOOD way.

I'm really not at all sure this stuff will fit in with your set, which seems to be heavy/psych leaning, but still: Sambomaster, who I've mentioned before on this board, because I feel strongly about them. I feel strongly that they RULE, even though their new album, "Ongaku no Kodomo wa Mina Utau" is pretty underwhelming. The three records before that one are pretty amazing, though. They combine elements of soul with punk rock, which would probably be a failure in lesser hands, but they manage to make it work, and work well. I can say without hesitation they have written some of my favorite pop/punk/rock songs ever.
