OK so I went to this club yesterday where they played a lot of indie-friendly dance (DFA, etc.) and there was this song that sounded a bit like Orgy's version of "Blue Monday" (but a lot better). Basically a strong beat, heavily processed guitars with A LOT of pitch bending and no singing; maybe a remix. Also, I'm pretty sure it's recent (past 4 or 5 years max). Any guesses?

Ok, this one might be tricky... I've heard it many times over the years but it's always at bars and I never get the chance to decodify the lyrics. It's got some sort of funky reggae shuffle similar to 'feel like jumping' by Marcia Griffiths and the only part of the lyrics I remember is a very generic 'that what I say / said' that I think gets repeated several times on the chorus. Please help.

Folk were playing various tapes and I heard a Massive Attack remix that, in my memory, went on for what felt like 10+ minutes and gradually built to a glorious wall of noise. It might have been a remix of Weather Storm, but I've listened to Mad Professor remixes but nothing has matched. Am I just stonedly remembering the wrong thing?

this pop hit from the 80s or 90s, with synths, verse lyrics entirely spoken in a low baritone, I don't remember hardly any words other than I think the dude talks about 'magic' at one point, and the chorus just seems to be harmonized AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH-AHHHHHHH, followed by something that sounds like 'doot doo' or maybe a synth sound that sounds like that (and no it's not Freur - "Doot Doot").

um, that's a lot less synthy than i remember it being. it does have bridge in the middle which is spoken / phone ringing sound but i think that's about it

to describe it better, it's a midtempo song, and the verse is pretty entire entirely spoken in a nasally baritone, he sounds like he's trying to sound seductive or suave. then it segues into a harmony of what sounds like female vocals going AHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHH, descending.

after it repeats a few times what sounds like female vocals singing "doot doo" or "choo choo" or something or other happens.

idk I'll never figure this out and it's probably a really easy to identify song that I've somehow forgotten lol.

who that person is though, is a bit of a mystery. not much useful information on the net and the song doesn't seem to exist outside of that tv production

I've asked this question a few times now and got nowhere. I'm pretty sure the track is called either "Part Of The Machine" or "Heart Of The Machine". I remember listening to it c2004 or 2005, and it's got a fairly fast 4/4 techno/electro crossover sound that does a speed up towards the end.

The lyrics are sung in a dispassionate neutral Southern English accent and repeat lines similar to:

I'm a screw, I'm a cog, I'm a wheel
I'm the part that makes you feel
I'm the sound that's in between
I'm the heart of the machine

Those lyrics are only from memory, so probably not right.
