I hear this type of traditional music in a lot of films and videogames set in scary olden times of Japan. Id really like to hear some bands who did this music.

That is a nice piece, but it has no "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!", but I feared that I couldnt describe what specific sound I meant.
Hear this part around the 1.50 mark?...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKVIApSXDt0

Are you perhaps seeking the sound of the shakuhachi, the bamboo flute?
If so, there are quite a few recordings out of there, solo or in various combinations with other trad instruments, like koto there.
xpost: ah, that's not far off what I was thinking.

I'm specifically looking for that kind of music but with those sort of Yokai/Demon/Ghost vocals. I thought there might be some bands who do that sort of thing. I think I once heard some acid/psychedelic/prog music that did it.

the band 'Ghost'

Sorry, I over-looked where you said the YOOOHOOOO was a vocal sound up in the title.
Ghost sounds right for the psych context, but from memory you might get only fairly sporadic YOOOOHOOOOOs.
Maybe consider some more from the performers associated with Takemitsu, Kwaidan etc. eg. Kinshi Tsuruta et al:
