I've always been a big fan, but I've engrossed myself in The Platters pretty hard over the last week or so. Probably for the best that the only song in the final list was "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" to avoid splitting, but this one is equally beautiful.

We should vote on it.

I think one could have blown out the nominations list to ~5000 tracks without compromising on quality (how many reggae classics are missing, for starters?). Even if the official list is kind of artificially truncated, though, it does mean we're more likely to get some consensus in the final tally.
