What does ILM know about this band?

The track 'Ultradeterminanten' is incredible--early Neubauten junkyard noise and terrifying howling plus a super funky bassline and a super danceable beat. Disorienting textures and effects in the classic Plank stylee. Amazing how it all hangs together somehow--it's so wrong yet so right

I know I've heard this at least once but damned if I can remember more than the fact I liked it. Now I've got to find it again!

mmmm, that Gabi Delgado cut (hell, whole album) had me fiending for a mix like this.

it would have been a good mix to put 'rosenmontag' by a flock of seagulls on. all that early 80's plank stuff revolves around 'zero set' for me, so much of the best music

the first time i heard 'zero set' my brain melted--i wish i could simulate that experience again. this mix has 'pitch control' but that's one of the least weird parts of 'zero set'

The amateur audio archivers of the 21st century are really an unsung story in terms of how music is shared and learned. You know that they're 'out there' and specializing in particular areas but there's no real full overview of them, it's hard to take in the overall impact.

good point, ned--i'd love to see someone do a thesis project on that. at the very least, it'd be a great EMP paper.
